This no ordinary beach at Punta Norte on Peninsula Valdes Argentina. The Killer Whales (Orcas) here have learned to hunt sea lion pups by torpedoing onto the beach to grab them. You can just make out the group of sea lions further down the beach. We were among a group of people on a viewing platform a couple hundred meters away. We saw orcas swimming, but no hunting this day...It's an odd feeling to go to a place with the knowledge that you might see something quite gruesome -- even it is a spectacle of nature. Here's a video from the Planet Earth series showing some amazing footage. Warning: it's quite graphic.
