This is fairly typical weather in the Blackstone Uplands in Tombstone Territorial Park, Yukon. The fall colors here are getting closer to their peak which occured about 6 days after this was taken (taken on Aug. 31, 2010). Our main goal for our Yukon trip was to do some long backpacking trips in the prime-time of autumn colors, so this non-stop cloudiness was getting a bit troublesome... primarily interferring with my vision of bright red and yellow valleys with a few bright white clouds against a blue sky with the jagged peaks of the Tombstones punctuating the scene...We did end up doing a 9-day backpack... stay tuned for more.
